October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and I’m grateful to be your pastor and your friend. If you’d like to show your appreciation, here are a few things that would mean so much to me instead of a gift: GIVE Taking your next step to give supports the ministry we share at The River. - Step 1: Give for the first time.
- Step 2: Setup reoccurring giving.
- Step 3: Increase your giving by a percentage you choose.
www.riverks.com/give VOLUNTEER Our biggest needs are in River Littles and River Kids. We need one more person in each rotation: Nursery, Preschool, and River Kids. Serving in a rotation means sharing the responsibility with others. www.riverks.com/volunteer CONSIDER SERVING AS A DEACON Deacon nominations are open! Deacons care for people, meet practical needs, and support our church’s ministry. If you’re interested, I’d love to talk with you and answer your questions. Nominate someone or let us know you’re interested: www.riverks.com/deacons DONATE TO THE RIVER KIDS STORE Our kids earn Bible Bucks by participating, memorizing Scripture, and completing classroom activities. They spend them on small toys, candy, and prizes in the River Kids store. Help keep it stocked by donating a few items! JOIN A TEAM We need people to serve alongside our team leaders, learn what’s involved, and step in when needed: - Littles, Kids & Youth
- Sundays (Band, Sound, Media or Hospitality)
- Christmas Team
- Cleaning, Grounds & Repairs
- Church Office & Communications (social media, promo videos, data entry, Sunday materials and errands)
Let us know where you’d like to help: www.riverks.com/volunteer A LITTLE ABOUT ME If you know me, you know words are my love language! An encouraging note or text means more to me than any gift. I’d love to hear what The River has meant to you, how a message or friendship here has made a difference, or what Jesus is teaching you lately. Thank you for loving and caring for Leigh and me. I love leading The River, working with you to share the message of Jesus, and being part of your lives. Love you all, — Rusty |
